The City of Dublin Parks & Recreation team is excited to announce plans for a new neighborhood park at the corner of Hyland Croy Road and S.R. 161. Hyland Glen Park will offer a welcoming community gathering space while preserving the area’s historic character and connecting residents to nearby trails and open spaces.
What’s Coming
New neighborhood park: Hyland Glen Park is being created as part of a development agreement to serve nearby residents and visitors.
Historic preservation: The site’s historic Barn and Granary will be restored on the exterior to celebrate the area’s agricultural past.
Community gathering spaces: The design includes a community lawn, loop trail and multiple seating areas.
Landscape Design: New tree plantings, landscaping and educational signage will enhance the site’s scenic appeal.

FAQs
Will the barns be open to the public? No. The barns will be restored on the exterior only and will not be open for public access.
Will trees be removed during construction? Only minor grading and limited clearing will occur to install new paths, trails and landscaping.
Will the shared use path remain open? There may be temporary interruptions during construction, but access will be restored once work is complete.

What to Expect
Construction will include adding new trails, stone seat walls, landscaping and a community lawn.
Minor grading will occur to prepare for paths and plantings.
Some shared-use path closures may occur during construction.
The barns and granary will be restored by the City’s Facilities team prior to or during park construction.
Once complete, Hyland Glen Park will offer new outdoor gathering spaces and celebrate the area’s rural heritage while enhancing connectivity to the community’s shared use paths.
